Kathy Vidlock M.D.

Sports Medicine Physician

Dr. Kathryn Vidlock graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School,  completed her residency at North Memorial Medical Center and completed a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Iowa.  While at Iowa, she served as team physician for the Iowa Hawkeyes. She now volunteers as team physician for Legend High School.  She has served as Medical director for the Down and Dirty Trail Race and Assistant Medical Director for the Stillwater Marathon, and has loads of experience helping at race events- Twin Cities Marathon, Minnesota Taekwondo, Pigman Triathlon, Lifetime Triathlon, and many more.  
Dr. Vidlock enjoys seeing a wide variety of sports medicine issues.  She delights in individualizing treatments for the unique needs of each individual- elite, collegiate, recreational etc.  She is one of a few physicians who are ARDMS certified in musculoskeletal ultrasound, allowing for easy imaging of tendon, ligaments and joints and in-clinic procedures.

Dr. Vidlock has recently published articles on wrist tendons, hamstring injuries and high altitude pulmonary edema.  She is an Advanced Wilderness Life Support instructor.  She also is a peer reviewer for the Journal of Ultrasound and Evidence Based Medicine
Dr. Vidlock was a collegiate All American swimmer.  She enjoys trail running with her husband, swimming on a masters team, open water swimming with her daughters and watching her son play tennis.
